Multi-Media Poetry

This video was made by a Photography 12 student last year. Watch, listen, analyze, and tell me what you think. Remember, don't just say "I liked it, it was good". Tell me why. Thoughtful, specific comments with support are what I am looking for.

  1. i liked the over all video, but i didn't like how i couldn't hear the girl's voice in the background.
i thought that the lego movements were very smooth and good.

  2. I loved the video, I totally miss all those things, even though we can still do it, it seems we don't have time like we use to. I agree you cannot hear the girl talk and the music was really over powering.

  3. I like how she made this video. It is very creative, because she put a bunch of pictures and put it together looks like it's moving. I thought it is interesting.

  4. You can just turn up the volume if you can't hear the girl's voice. I turned it up and I could hear it quite clearly. The lego part was really great, but I didn't understand the basketball part. What was that about?

  6. I agree with both of these comments about how it was very hard to hear her. But I liked the video, because it was about everyones childhood, and it is things we miss doing. We never really have the time to do it, because we have grown older, and more important things have come into our lives. Also we are going to school, and have homework, and jobs, which take up a lot of our spare time. Also, I agree with how the lego movements were very smooth, and interesting.

  7. I think her video is very powerful in a way. The theme of the video is about childhood, and things she had done before that she misses.
She probably misses how simple life was, and fun as well r at least I assume she does since she is in grade 12, graduating is very hard for some people. It is creative how she made the video, i liked the montage of images, and how they flow. Another thing I liked was that she related the tone of her voice to the music to give it a calm feel.

  8. I also stuggled to hear her voice, but either than that I thought that this was a well thought out video. It shows that memories are precious and not to be forgotten.

  9. I think this is a wonderful way of expressing feelings about everyone's childhood. It shows how we get so caught up in our busy lives, sometimes we don't have time to do the things we love. When we are children, we are not afraid to be ourselves. I especially loves the part with the socks. It reminded me of myself.

  10. I thought this video was really well made, because not only was it personal to the maker of the video, but it also remides everyone that their childhood memories will always be remembered, no matter how old they get or what thye're doing. I loved the lego sequence, and the narration was clear, although I found the narration somewhat distracting, and would have preferred there was voice in short inserts, rather than over the whole video.

  11. I thought it was very creative putting the multiple pictures together to create a different touch than simply a smooth running movie. I also really enjoyed the way she included a range of memories; there were ones vague and simple, such as her car rides home. She also included more personal memories, like how she cut holes in her pants and drew smiley faces. All in all, I thought that her video was very well put together.

  12. This video made me smile. I totally relate to a lot of the memories the photographer spoke about. The Pokemon obsession, and the Beatles phase. Building forts that only girls were aloud in; always enjoying gym but failing at sports. If you can't tell already, I really liked this video.

  13. I liked how the lego part went very smooth and the part I like best is when she talks about her past, those memories remind me back when I was little. I think the video was very good.

  14. I liked this video a lot because I can relate to it really well. I remember hoarding dozens of pokemon cards in my closet, and battling with my sister. I'm still in my Beatle phase, so it made me laugh. I liked how the photos were short and simple, just giving you enough information to feel that sense of nostalgia, it was very nice and heartwarming.

  15. I liked the videao alot because I have done most of done those in the past and i can relate to most of those things such as loving pokemon cards and feeling sick in the car, which still happens. It made me remember my past memories good or bad and made me wonder will I always remember these memories or will i lose them?

  16. I really enjoyed this video because it reminded me of my own childhood (like many people have said). I remember having dozens of pokemon cards and trading them with my friends and brother and I probably still have them somewhere...!! I also made forts with my brother all the time. I liked her choice of music because it went along very well with the whole slideshow. It was very well put together and ran really smoothly.
